As I informed you guys back when I posted this, being sick SUCKS!!!! You may be thinking around now, “Wow, seriously!!! She’s still sick!!! She posted that like two weeks ago!!” and you are absolutely CORRECT!! I have been sick now for TWO WEEKS, plus a couple extra days here and there, and there is only one word to describe it: it SUCKS. Well that’s actually two words, but WHATEVER! I am officially sick of being sick: of blowing my nose like a vuvuzela nonstop, of coughing until my stomach hurts so much that I am convinced I have a full-blown six pack, and most of all, not doing ANYTHING!!! Despite being able to sleep for about five hours longer than I usually would, I HATE being a couch potato for longer than about a day. I can’t even dance!!! Rachel not being able to dance= saddness, and eventually, insanity (though one may argue I’m already insane in the first place…). Well, enough with my raging; Let’s get to the point of today’s post: chicken puffs!!!
A couple of days ago, I was beginning to become sick of eating microwaved meals and was bored out of my mind, so I decided to cook. I wanted to make something easy, something that would only take about a half hourish. That was when I came across this brilliant recipe using one of the quickest and easiest ingredients ever: crescent dough!! Ya, the stuff in tube. And it was DELICIOUS!!! The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the creamy filling was mouthwatering!!! I am DEFINITELY going to make this recipe again! A little tip that I want to mention is that you shouldn’t worry if your dough isn’t perfectly triangle when you unravel it; My dough ended up kinda morphed once I opened it, and I just stretched them into as triangle of pieces as I could, and they turned out just fine. One thing that I might try next time is adding a bit of bacon, and brushing the tops of the dough with an egg wash, which is recommended in the video at the bottom.
Cut up chicken bites!!!
MMMM!!!! Filling!!!!!
My favorite part: cooking the chicken!!!
Ready to go in the oven!
Ready to eat!!!!
There you have it: easy but delicous chicken puffs!!!! Still have questions? Here is a video that allrecipes made to go along with this delicious recipe:
So, I wanna know: what do you think? Have you tried this recipe yet? Do you have any other easy crescent roll dough recipes that you love? Tell me in the comments!!!!
Dance Forever,
Rachel
