Last week, in the first installment of this new segment, I told you a little bit about the amazing fashion of the 1920′s. If you haven’t read that one yet, you can catch it at http://eatpraydance.com/2012/09/22/vintage-inspirations-1920s/. And now, for the second edition, I present, fashion of the 1960′s! (This decade was chosen because it was voted on in the comments, so make sure to vote after reading this!)

The 60′s were the birth for many trends, including mini skirts, bikinis, and bell bottoms. The decade also affected women’s hairstyles and makeup; many ladies began wearing false eyelashes, and hairstyles were a variety of lengths and styles. The early sixties, fashion-wise, were influenced greatly by the style of the First Lady, Jacqueline Kennedy. Pillbox hats, suits, and shift dresses with geometric prints were extremely fashionable in the early 1960′s. As for the mid 60′s, mini skirts were all the rage after designer Mary Quant created them. Finally, the late 1960′s were a time of bell bottomed jeans, tie-dyed shirts, and hippie fashion. Here are three examples from each section of the sixties:
